The Vampire Diaries is an American supernatural drama-horror television series developed by Kevin Williamson, based on the book series of the same name by L. J. Smith. The series follows the events in the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, a small town who is haunted by supernatural beings. In this town lives a seventeen years old young woman named Elena Gilbert, portrayed by Nina Dobrev, who perfectly resembles Katherine Pierce, a vampire who lived in Mystic Falls in the 19th century. In 1864, Katherine was loved by two brothers: Stefan, portrayed by Paul Wesley and Damon Salvatore, portrayed by Ian Somerhalder, and she actually felt only a deep affection for them (which is what vampires believe is love). Because she was unable to choose the one whom she wanted to spend centuries with, she turned them both down. As vampires, Stefan and Damon lived very different lives: Stefan started seeking redemption for his past sins, for a yet unknown reason; while Damon found in the evil side his true nature, still able to be loyal and feel affection, he became an amoral, vicious, sadistic, careless evil vampire. The return of the Salvatore vampires in Mystic Falls and Stefan's joining Elena's life will create havoc in town.



I love the vampire diaries. So far in there has been 1 season and about half of season 2

Elana is 17 years old and Stefan is 100 something years old its a big gap but as Stefan is a vampire he is immortal and cant get old and he wont grow grey hair he well look as if he is 17 for his whole life.

So far Elana is in love with Stefan, Damon who is Stefan's brother is in love with Elana but Damon does not want to hurt his brother so he wouldn't take Elana away from Stefan and anyway Elana wouldn't go to Damon because she is in love with Stefan.





Elana met her birth mother who is Isabel shes a vampire she was turned into one by Damon in the past.
Elana was adopted by Isabel's friends they died in a car accident when Elana was 16 and Jeramey her younger brother was 15 Elana's birth father is her fathers brother his name is John Gilbert he knew that
Elana was his daughter but had never told her father and her mother. Elana's birth mother Isabel was only in high school when she gave birth to Elana.
when Elana met Isabel, Isabel wanted nothing to do with her. Elana found this selfish and never wanted to see Isabel ever again so that's why Isabel left Mystic falls.






Elana has a friend called Bonnie Bennett she is a witch first bonnie did not know that she was a witch until her grand mother told her. bonnie helps the Salvatore brothers a lot when they need a witches touch. bonnie is very good at spells but when she tries to hard she gets a nose bleed. Bonnie is in love with Elana's younger Jeramey but she fells ashamed to show it even though Jeramey is in love with her.





Elana has another friend called Caroline she was a human but she was turned into a vampire by Kathrine, first when Caroline became a vampire she found it very hard to control her thirst from the smell of human blood. She killed one person but after she started to control her thirst she drank from blood bags.





Not only are there vampires there are wolves!! Tyler Lockwood is Caroline's very close friend he is a Wolfe the Wolfe blood only runs in the Lockwood family and Tyler is the only Lockwood son left, to become a Wolfe you have to pull the trigger by killing a person and Tyler killed someone in his class by accident Caroline was there when this happened this is how they became friends, Tyler knows that Caroline is a vampire but does not know about Damon and Stefan because there would be trouble if he knew. A Wolfe can only become a Wolfe when there is a full moon. becoming a Wolfe is hard that is why you have to pull a trigger to become one. Tyler's uncle mason took a video of him becoming a Wolfe that is how Tyler knew what to do. Wolfe's go through a lot of pain on masons video he said that he felt like he was dying from the pain. Mason could not come out of the room that he was in because it was to dangerous he would had killed someone.




Kathrine came back to Mystic falls to bind the curse of the sun and moon, she needs a vampire who's Caroline (that is why she turned Caroline into a vampire), a Wolfe who was mason but mason was killed by Damon because Damon knew that Kathrine was trying to do something but didn't no what, she needed a witch she had one but the witch rebelled and ran away. So Kathrine couldn't brake the curse because she didn't have the moon stone and no one to help her. When Damon and Stefan found out that Kathrine was in Mystic falls they had to find away to get her away but she wouldn't so they have no choice but to kill her. They plan her killing but it goes wrong because Kathrine knew that they were up to something but Damon and Stefan find a way to, but they don't kill her they put her into a cave that is cast by spells that once a vampire goes into the cave they wont be able to come out so Damon and Stefan put Kathrine into the cave knowing that she wont be able to come out. so Kathrine is still in the cave there is no way for her to get out.




There are 2 more witches that are men in Mystic falls they are called warlocks they are helping Eliza with something but the son likes Bonnie Bennett when he is not meant to what happens next...


There is a man called Eliza he knows Clouse who is the oldest vampire of time who wants to come after Elana because she is the betrover doppelganger meaning to any double or look-alike of a person, betrover is the blood of Kathrine and Elana.Clouse wants to kill Elana to break the curse of the betrover doppelganger.so far we have no idea what it is but hopefully we well find out soon.
We also do not know why Eliza came to Mystic falls but we do know that he wants Elana to be safe and that he wants to kill Clouse.
